About our puppies.
- We occasionally breed; when we have puppies, once in a while there is a
show puppy available, but our first concern is our puppies go to their
"forever home" from us. It is most important to us these babies grow
up where they are cherished, loved, and respected for the truly great dogs
they will become. Boxers are very sensitive and intelligent, most are
strong willed so we strongly encourage our new puppy owners to acquire some
puppy classes and obedience classes. Doing this will solidify the bond
between you and your new companion. This is also an excellent time for you
to "bond" with and establish hierarchy (alpha) in your home.
Our puppies
are raised in our home. They are nurtured by their dam until they go
thru the weaning process, about 4-5 weeks they are weaned and are beginning
to become independent. Puppies spend the next few weeks growing,
investigating, learning, and figuring out their personalities. They
begin socializing with my dogs during this time period. Puppies
are: wormed at least twice, given their first set of shots, and are all
well-puppy checked by my vet before they go home. I no longer
microchip due to the unknown side effects; moving of the chip and cancer
being detected at origin of chip. I have not dealt with this
personally, but there are recent studies that raise concerns.
All pet puppies are placed on spay\neuter contracts and AKC registration is
limited.
Puppies are ready for their new homes at 8 weeks old.
